Diversity warriors display their malignant hypocrisy – Washington Times

‘Public crusades, private demons.” This is an adage I heard from an old friend years ago when I was lamenting Bill Clinton’s exposure as a misogynist and sexual harasser.

In the years that followed, I learned that malignant hypocrisy and projection of internal rot was not a bug among Democratic leadership, but a feature. They first claimed to be civil rights leaders, then feminists. Now in 2021 they are the “anti-racist” saviors. One thing we know, if the Democrats claim they are here to save you, start running in the opposite direction.

As predictable as the bell chiming at noon, the reality of those who proclaim their credentials as some of the left’s official “anti-racist” diversity leaders and officers are being exposed as the bigots they accuse everyone else of being.

This is not a surprising development as the left telegraphed this absurdity with the creation of a fascist gang calling itself Antifa (“anti-fascist”) believing they could trick people into thinking fascist behavior could be labeled anti-fascist allowing them to get away with it. The equivalent would be an arsonist calling himself a “firefighter” and expecting to be embraced as a pillar of the community.

This madness requires political correctness, media support and the threat of cancellation if you protest. So far, under the aegis of “social justice” and “ending White supremacy” the grift, menacing and destruction continues.

With such success, welcome to the left’s racist “anti-racism” narrative. With no effort to mask the outright racism and bigotry of Critical Race Theory (CRT) now crawling through government, corporations, society and even grade schools, we are being subjected to bigotry cast as anti-bigotry.

So it’s not surprising that this week alone we witnessed two “diversity and inclusion” officials, one an editor at a newspaper, and the other in charge of the Pentagon’s diversity effort for U.S. Special Operations, be fired or “reassigned” after being exposed as harboring less than diverse and inclusive opinions about other people.

In one case, as the Post-Millennial reported, “USA Today’s race and inclusion editor Hemal Jhaveri was fired this week after she claimed that ‘it’s always an angry white man’ who commits mass shootings, race-baiting in the wake of the Boulder attack. Jhaveri has since alleged that she was let go for ‘challenging whiteness.’”

As for the Pentagon, they “reassigned” their new U.S. Special Operations “Chief of Diversity” hire after just a few days when it was revealed he has posted on social media and altered a photograph comparing President Trump to Hitler and another highlighting personal and ad hominem attacks against Mr. Trump. These posts were public and available to anyone who took the time to perform a cursory search on a candidate for such an important position.

Where did the Pentagon find this man? His LinkedIn page indicates he had been the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

What should we actually expect in this woke world championed by the Biden administration? When the current twisted version of “diversity“ efforts is reliant on CRT, requiring people to be judged (and condemned!) based on their complexion or their gender, common sense dictates it will be impossible to solve biased attitudes that are based on race or sex.

To expect a more fair system to be brought about by the same bias and bigotry indicates a problem of group think and mass hysteria. And once again, the Democrats promote a system reflecting their misery and bigotry, making situations worse.

A Harvard Business Review study found that “diversity training” actually does not work. In a study titled “Why Diversity Programs Fail,” they note, “In analyzing three decades’ worth of data from more than 800 U.S. firms and interviewing hundreds of line managers and executives at length, we’ve seen that companies get better results when they ease up on the control tactics. It’s more effective to engage managers in solving the problem, increase their on-the-job contact with female and minority workers, and promote social accountability … Companies do a better job of increasing diversity when they forgo the control tactics and frame their efforts more positively.”

One could apply these findings to suggest that telling workers they’re all racist and must be punished will not succeed in overcoming bias which we know exists. In fact, if the current trend is to hire partisans swimming in the bigotry required of CRT, we are only deliberately injecting the sort of unfairness we are all working to eliminate.

In essence, the CRT the left has been shoehorning into every aspect of our society is simply the ad hominem accusation that all White people are inherently guilty of racism and the concomitant bigotry. Christopher Rufo at the Manhattan Institute and a leading intellectual on the scourge of critical race theory and its application, writes this about CRT training sessions within governmental agencies, here specifically he discusses a session at the Treasury Department:

“The diversity trainer … taught employees that America was ‘built on the backs of people who were enslaved’ and that all white Americans are complicit in a system of white supremacy ‘by automatic response to the ways we’re taught.’ In accompanying documents, [he] argues that whites share an inborn oppressive streak …”

The public cases of the “diversity” social justice warriors at USA Today and the Pentagon are not unique, and they will be the standard if our society continues to inexplicably accept the left’s designs on our culture, requiring all of us to be as miserable and biased as they are.
